Blueprint

Blueprint is a modular sculpture constructed from sheet metal; mirroring an aerial view of a cityscape. The different planes slot together to create a 3D map of an imagined urban space; the pieces can be taken apart and rearranged each time it is exhibited allowing for it to be an ever-changing sculpture, mirroring that of an urban metropolis.

Blueprint has been shown here within a natural environment over a period of two months. The piece transformed with the landscape, plants grew through the planes and rusted the surface. This piece attempts to reflect the relationship between the natural and urban landscape.
